# THE BAKER: Music Question for Ronny or Aya

**Date:** 2026-05-08
**Use:** Direct question for Ronny or Aya about music, atmosphere, and composer status before Cannes.
**Derived from:** `notes/MUSIC_AND_ATMOSPHERE_DOCUMENTATION_2026-05-08.md`
**Status:** Ready to send or ask live.

## Direct question

> On the call you described the wedding-night escape as a ninety-two piece orchestra that starts in the mountain. Is that a real budget item or a creative vision?

> And if we are talking music: do you have a composer in mind? Is the score already part of the Cannes package, or is it something we should add to the budget and cast-finance conversation?

## Why this question matters

Ronny's 92-piece orchestra is the strongest music reference in the whole package. If it is real, it changes:

1. the budget
2. the composer conversation
3. the sales pitch around scale
4. the QAPE implications if recorded in Australia
5. the audience bridge through Fairuz, Strauss, and Lebanese instrumentation

If it is aspirational, the Cannes deck should not claim it.

## What to listen for in the answer

- "We already have a composer" means music is a closed conversation.
- "I have someone in mind" means music is a live Cannes conversation.
- "The ninety-two piece is what I want, not what we can pay for" means it should be framed as a stretch-case ambition.
- "I did not think about the budget for music" means the music line needs a budget pass.
- "Fairuz is essential" means licensing needs to enter the production plan.
- "Nicholas has a composer preference" means Nicholas needs to be part of this question too.

## Follow-up if they say yes to a composer

> Should the composer be named in the Cannes deck, or is that premature?

## Follow-up if they say no composer yet

> Should we treat music as a Cannes ask: which composer would strengthen the package by territory, budget, and QAPE?

## Alternative format for a voice note

> Quick question on music. You said the Lebanon escape is one big orchestra, ninety-two piece. Is that in the current budget, or is it a dream we need to plan for? And do you have a composer in mind for Cannes, or should I add that to the ask list?

## Where to use it

- Send as a WhatsApp voice note to Ronny.
- Send as a short text question to Aya before Cannes.
- Ask Nicholas directly on the next call.
- Add to the CANNES_QUESTIONS_ANNEX if the answer reveals a new Cannes ask.
