# IIW Totally Spies S7 sync inventory

Inventory date: 2026-05-03

This document summarizes the synced IIW production materials. The full per-file inspection manifest is in `docs/internal/iiw-totallyspies-sync-file-manifest.csv`.

## Inspection method

- Walked every file under `iiw-totallyspies/` and recorded path, category, type, extension, size, and useful media metadata.
- Used `ffprobe` for `.mov` masters: resolution, fps, video codec, video bitrate, pixel format, duration, and audio stream count.
- Parsed PNG, JPEG, PSD, and PSB headers for image dimensions without opening/rendering image content.
- Parsed ZIP central directories for archive member counts and compressed/uncompressed totals.
- Parsed PDFs for a rough page-count estimate where possible.
- No visual/OCR interpretation was performed here. Image content is identified from filenames, folder structure, and file metadata only.

## Executive summary

- Files inspected: **4,931**
- Apparent size: **300.7 GB**
- Disk usage on the sync volume: **~212 GB**. The difference from apparent size is expected because the tree is synced/storage-backed and includes large archives plus extracted folders.
- Core material present: all S7 episode delivery masters in English and French, large design asset pack, style guides, key art, logos, props/gadgets, backgrounds, and a Prism project template.
- Core material not found: scripts, storyboards/animatics, audio stems, 3D rigs/models/scenes.

## Episode masters

- Count: **52 `.mov` files** = 26 episodes × 2 language/title versions.
- Common video spec: **1920×1080, 25/1 fps, h264, yuv420p**.
- Video bitrate range: **3,492,541 to 3,597,776 bps**, average **3,544,484 bps** (~3.54 Mbps).
- Runtime range: **21.9 to 22.0 min**, average **21.9 min**.
- Audio: every sampled/parsed master has **2 AAC mono tracks at 48 kHz**, approximately 192 kbps each.
- Assessment: these are clean 1080p25 H.264 delivery masters, suitable for first-pass scene extraction and training. Higher-bitrate ProRes/DNxHD intermediates would still be preferable for final source-frame quality if available.

I unpacked `03_PROPS.zip` to `/tmp/iiw-totallyspies-unpacked/03_PROPS` for inspection. I did not unpack `02_BG.zip` because every file in that archive already exists under `02_Elements/DESIGN/02_BG/` with matching size.

## Prism project / pipeline template

`03_Project/Projet_Gabarit/` contains a Prism v2.0.17 project template, review config, fallback thumbnails, a Hiero/Nuke Studio `.hrox` project file, and Python pre/post hooks for import, export, playblast, render, and scene save events.

## Practical ingestion notes

- Use episode masters for shot detection, frame extraction, and motion/style reference. Treat H.264 compression as acceptable for first pass but not ideal for final-quality frame training if higher-bitrate masters exist.
- Use PSD/PSB character and prop sheets as canonical visual anchors. Prefer layered files over JPG/PNG exports where extraction tooling supports them.
- Use background plates and style-guide location artwork to improve environment tagging and location conditioning.
- De-duplicate extracted folders against `02_BG.zip` before ingestion. For props, use `03_PROPS.zip` as the complete source: it contains 3,344 files that are not in the currently extracted props folder.
- Ignore `.DS_Store`, `Thumbs.db`, `.ini`, and Python bytecode files.
- Ask IIW/Banijay for storyboards, animatics, scripts, audio stems, or high-bitrate/professional video masters if available. None were present in this sync.
