# Top 3 validation delivery request

## Purpose

This is the exact first-cycle delivery request for Laurent and Paul.

It is built to unlock the first three validation shots without a second round of
guesswork:

- `TSV-001` trio-led setup
- `TSV-002` gadget reveal
- `TSV-005` hero or dialogue closeup

Use this note when asking for the first owned-material batch.

## What this batch has to unlock

The incoming material must be enough to:

- ingest owned source episodes
- pull deterministic reference stills for the top 3 shot brief
- build the first shot-specific reference package
- run both `generic-baseline` and `owned-asset-tuned` variants on the same shot
  definitions

This batch does not need to unlock every future shot family. It needs to unlock
the first three approval-risk shots cleanly.

## Episode selection guidance

If the team has discretion over which episodes to send first, ask for episodes
that contain as much overlap with the top 3 validation brief as possible.

Prioritize episodes that contain:

- clean trio mission-suit groupings
- readable mission-location coverage
- one clear hero gadget beat
- clean Clover closeups with stable hair and outfit continuity

Overlap is good. One episode can serve more than one shot family.

Avoid prioritizing:

- crowd-heavy scenes
- comedy extremes
- heavy motion blur
- shots with platform overlays, subtitles, or hard-burned graphics

## Still-reference guidance by shot

### `TSV-001` trio-led setup

Ask for:

- one clean trio group frame with Sam, Clover, and Alex visible together
- one clean mission-suit reference still for Sam
- one clean mission-suit reference still for Clover
- one clean mission-suit reference still for Alex
- one clean location frame from the same scene or continuity block

What makes a good still:

- front or three-quarter faces
- readable silhouette separation
- planted or lightly moving pose
- no combat chaos

### `TSV-002` gadget reveal

Ask for:

- one frame where Sam and the chosen gadget are both readable in the same shot
- one clean gadget insert
- one frame showing correct hand-to-gadget attachment
- one simple mission background frame that does not compete with the prop

What makes a good still:

- gadget silhouette reads immediately
- hand contact is visible
- Sam's face is still usable
- the shot is not overloaded with secondary props

### `TSV-005` hero or dialogue closeup

Ask for:

- one clean Clover closeup with neutral or alert expression
- one clean Clover closeup with controlled reaction or light dialogue emphasis
- one support still that preserves hair silhouette and neckline continuity

What makes a good still:

- front or three-quarter angle
- both eyes readable
- stable mouth shape
- no broad comedy or shout pose

## Delivery metadata required

Request this metadata with every batch:

- episode title or internal ID
- season and episode number if known
- whether the file is approved for project weights, inference-only reference, or
  both
- any restrictions on character, outfit, location, or gadget usage
- any source-quality notes such as compression, grade, or scaling issues

## File-format rules

### Episodes

Preferred:

- ProRes
- DNxHR
- highest-quality editorial mezzanine

Acceptable:

- clean H.264 MP4 with no platform watermark

Avoid:

- social recompressions
- screen recordings
- files with baked captions or overlays

### Stills and guides

Accepted:

- PNG
- JPG
- PDF
- model sheets or layered design files if available

## Seed extraction queue already prepared in the repo

The repo now includes a seeded first-cycle extraction queue in:

- `docs/internal/reference-extraction-requests.csv`

The draft rows are aligned to the top 3 validations:

- `tsv001-*`
- `tsv002-*`
- `tsv005-*`

They are intentionally left in `draft` status until:

1. the real episode files are ingested
2. `episode_rel_path` is replaced with the actual ingested path
3. `timestamp` is filled with the approved extraction timecode
4. the relevant rows are moved to `ready`, `queued`, or `pending`

## Minimum emergency batch

If Laurent and Paul can only send one fast batch immediately, ask for exactly
this:

- `5` owned episodes
- Sam mission-suit stills
- Clover mission-suit stills and closeups
- Alex mission-suit stills
- one chosen hero gadget pack
- one chosen mission location pack
- one brand/logo/title pack
- rights and approval notes

That is enough to start ingest, fill the queue, and run the first-cycle
validation setup.

## Copy-ready request block

Use this wording internally or adapt it into email/chat:

We are locking the first validation cycle around three shots: the trio setup,
the gadget reveal, and a Clover closeup. Please send one owned-material batch
that covers those three shots directly: five owned episodes minimum, clean trio
mission-suit references for Sam/Clover/Alex, the chosen hero gadget pack, the
chosen mission location pack, clean Clover closeups, the current brand/title
guidelines pack, and usage approval notes for training vs inference-only
reference. If you have discretion over episode choice, prioritize episodes that
contain clean trio groupings, one clear gadget beat, and stable Clover closeups
from the same continuity period.

## What happens after delivery

Once the batch lands:

1. run `spies-episode-ingest`
2. update `docs/internal/training-asset-manifest.csv`
3. complete the draft rows in `docs/internal/reference-extraction-requests.csv`
4. run `spies-reference-extract`
5. fill the `Fill before run` fields in
   `docs/strategy/top-3-validation-shot-brief.md`
